Iris at Milkweed Design Co exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding in 2023! I love flowers and wanted a lot all over the venue, but I didn't specify know which ones I wanted. Iris created the perfect design that I was imagining but couldn't put into words myself. She suggested and constructed an elaborate show stopping floral installation on a tree welcoming guests to the venue and offering an unique backdrop for photos! The colors, textures, and attention to detail were perfection! Each arrangement completely transformed the space into something magical. It was clear how much care, creativity, and passion went into every aspect of Iris' work. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the flowers at the time, and to this day, it's the one thing everyone still brings up! I found Milkweed Floral through Instagram, and after reaching out and scheduling and introductory call with Iris, I immediately felt like we were in sync. When envisioning my coastal Maine wedding, I dreamt of an elevated back-yard picnic with laid-back but elegant arrangements that would dress up our non-traditional wedding venue. The end results were more than anything I could’ve dreamed up. From the beginning, Iris understood my vision, refining it with an expert eye. The feedback process was seamless, with us going back and forth a few times with ideas and edits. Iris was very accommodating to and respectful of our budget, making realistic suggestions about what we could reasonably put together within it. On the day of, Iris worked closely with our wedding planner to execute the florals with flourish and ease. Seeing our reception space all dressed up with her creations was beyond compare. What’s more, Iris put together a SPECTACULAR bridal bouquet which perfectly suited my dress and whole bridal look. I nearly burst into tears when she handed it to me. Not only is she a talented and competent floral artist, but Iris is also a very positive and warm person. I am so glad she was a part of our wedding day. 10/10!
